BRAVE NEW WORLDS (Becoming Angels)
June 30 - The Gramophone Works, Kensal Rd W10 5BZ
Recent events have us balancing on the edge of uncertain futures and reckoning with painful personal and collective histories. For a brief moment, we invite you to press pause on a world of digital meta-realities and join us for an evening of art from artists across Africa and the diaspora. Each artist in their own incisive way explores more nourishing and truthful connections with our planet and each other.
ARTISTS: Georgina Maxim | Patrick Tagoe-Turkson | Peter Mammes | Gordon Glyn-Jones | Hamed Ouattara | Irwin Pascal
The evening includes a special performance by Bloomberg New Contemporary Artist Irvin Pascal.
KOOP PROJECTS is a ground breaking Brighton-based gallery supporting creative projects that emphasise the role of contemporary African art and artists as a dynamic source for learning and change.
VENUE: The Gramophone Works in Kensal Rise/Ladbroke Grove, winner of the New London Environmental Prize in 2021. A building that celebrates re-purposing of existing building fabrics and new, sustainable building technologies.
DATE: 30 June 2022
TIME: 5pm to 9pm (Wine served from 6pm)
PERFORMANCE: 7.00pm
ADDRESS: The Gramophone Works // 326 Kensal Road // W10 5BZ
