Gordon Glyn-Jones is a Zimbabwean artist based in London. His work has most succinctly been described as: ‘Bio-folklore of a far-distant future’ (Think William Gibson meets Hans Christian Anderson and Hostile Planet).
Born of an unflinching discipline of creating newly-conceived imagery every single day, his unique visual language straddles the real, the surreal and the abstract.
Distinct subject areas do arise, loop and re-emerge but ultimately they are layered, nuanced and intuitive, pointing to sophisticated metaphysical and material projections of the future beyond the singularity.
He is currently working on a body of painting for a solo show, unified by a singular narrative which emerged in the last two years of research.
